Turns out “It takes a village to raise a child.” isn't just a cute bumper sticker

What was your biggest fear, and has it come true?

Not knowing how to do it. But somehow you will just know.

What has been the biggest surprise?

Here we are thinking that we will teach our little ones everything but actually they are the greatest teachers (if we let them).

What has been the biggest support?

The people around us/me. The saying “It takes a village to raise a child.” used to be a cute bumper sticker saying which I didn’t truly understand until our little one arrived. The older she gets, the more this holds true and every time you need more and more of that support system.

How do you take care of yourself?

Sports/Working out is my church. It gives me the mental space I need and no matter what my husband and I make sure to fit it in the daily schedule for the both of us since we both know how we feel if we don’t get our daily dose.

How is your relationship doing? Any advice?

TALK/COMMUNICATION, keep checking in with each other and always remember you are in the same boat, you want the same things.

How were the first few weeks of parenthood been for you?

Magical, wouldn’t have thought that I would love to be a mum as much as I do!
