About the Event

Are you curious about how pregnancy and birth can affect your Body, Bowel and Bladder, and Sex life? We're offering a series of three workshops that focus on understanding changes in your physiology and pelvic floor during pregnancy and postpartum. The best part is that you can choose to take just one, two, or all three workshops, depending on what matters most to you!

In our 'Body' workshop, we'll explore how having a baby changes your breathing, postural and movement patterns and how this is intricately connected with the pelvic floor. Discover the interplay between baby and your core and learn tips to save energy, avoid injury, and (re)build your strength.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for moms and moms-to-be who want to move better, and become more confident in their pelvic health.

What will you learn?

In this workshop you will connect with other moms and learn about the:

  • Anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor as it relates to posture and movement
  • Impact of pregnancy and childbirth on your core and pelvic floor
  • Techniques to (re)connect with your pelvic floor during your daily activities- like sitting, standing or lifting your child
  • Ways to avoid injury, build strength and save energy during pregnancy and postpartum
  • Almighty kegel (pssst, it's actually not-so-mighty)
  • Community and resources available to support your pelvic wellness today

What should you bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring a yoga mat (if you have one). Please consider having little ones stay at home, if possible. This way you can fully engage in the workshop and get the most benefit from the valuable information and activities we have planned. Give yourself the gift of undivided attention.
