About the Event

Who is this class for? 

This course is for moms, dads and caregivers who are aspiring to raise emotionally intelligent and loving humans. Ideally from 6 months to 3 years postpartum.  If you feel like you could benefit from adding more skills to your toolbox of parenting through tricky situations, this is a great program for you! 

What will you leave with? 

Rooted in ancient wisdom and backed by modern science, this program will introduce you to a toolkit consisting of exercises which have been proven to strengthen such qualities as stress resilience, emotional intelligence, compassion and self-compassion,  patience, feeling of empowerment and choice. 

During this course we will use meditation, breathing, movement and writing to not only learn about tools, their underlying mechanisms and why they are effective to help you parent, but also to put them to practice! 

"This is not your regular stress-reduction program. It goes much deeper, diving into life itself"   

You will learn: 

  • How to navigate stress of parenting and life in general, using tools of mindfulness and breath 
  • How to make wiser choices moment by moment 
  • How to recognise and BE with strong emotions like frustration, anger, guilt. And why is it important in parenting  
  • How to shift gears from frustration &  irritation to trust & contentment, using mindset exercises  

Every session will include an introductory talk, practice and discussion. 

About the teacher:   

Katia Khomich is a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher, a well-being coach and a Yoga Therapist (graduation 2023). She is also a mom of a 9 month old baby girl.   She is beleives that each of us can positively impact the future by raising a emotionally intelligent and loving children. Therefore, she is committed to empowering parents with skills to  support them through tough moments, strengthen their resilience and self-compassion, and help them create conditions for peace, acceptance and love.
