About the Event

Have you noticed any changes happening 'downstairs' and feel unsure about who to ask for help? Or maybe you're just curious about changes during the peripartum period. Don't worry, you're not alone. Join us at Not Your Mama's Q&A session for a friendly and informative discussion about your pelvic health. Our expert, Britt, will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and provide honest and accurate information about the pelvic floor. You deserve to feel confident and comfortable in your body, so don't hesitate to drop in and get the support you need. See you there!

Who is this class for?

This class is for moms or moms-to-be or any woman interested in learning more about their pelvic health.

What will you learn?

Each class covers different aspects of pelvic health and is guided by your questions. In addition to addressing what's important to you, each session also covers:

  • The basic anatomy of the pelvic floor
  • The importance of the pelvic floor in your daily life
  • Education and resources to improve your pelvic floor wellness today

About your teacher:

Britt van Hees is a highly-qualified pelvic floor expert and educator who is dedicated to empowering women, particularly mothers, with the knowledge and tools needed to take control of their pelvic health. Britt holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy along with a Research Masters in the study of pelvic floor neuromuscular control. Britt is also a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association with over 10 years' experience treating patients and teaching clinicians about pelvic floor dysfunction.

Originally from Berkeley, California, Britt now resides in Amsterdam with her husband and 2-year-old daughter. She has taken a hiatus from clinical work in order to focus more fully on pelvic floor outreach and education. Britt is thrilled to partner with The Labour Depart. to educate more mothers about pelvic wellness.
