Service Description
The best way to support your child’s education and brain and language development is by reading. The more access children have to books and the written word, the better they will do in their own language development. Story time can create another space to introduce your child to English and it will take the thinking process off of you. Bring your child of any age for a story time reading. Each month we will focus on a different theme ranging from seasonal, to social-emotional, to child-lead interests. As there is no age restriction, be prepared for some interruptions. Children’s attention levels increase with age. We will enjoy some stories together wherever your child is developmentally and leave some space for parents to chat after as well. Elizabeth Goode is an award-winning youth librarian with a Masters in Library Science. Before moving to the Netherlands, she was the literacy librarian at Lakeside School in Seattle and prior to that the Head Librarian at a progressive, elementary school in San Francisco. She also dabbles in writing children’s books. You can find her on Instagram @elizabethgoodewrites.
